First and foremost, this event is being operated stringently to UK Athletics guidelines concerning Covid-19. It is essential that we all take responsibility for the safety of ourselves and other entrants by following the guidance.

KEY SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

Please wear a face mask whilst you are not running – we have Ilkley Half Marathon neck tubes available on the day from the info tent if you forget yours. All proceeds to charity.

We strongly advise that you take a lateral flow test on the day to check if you have Covid-19. You can order LFTs from https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

If you have ANY symptoms of Covid-19, please do not travel to the event.

WEST HOLMES FIELD AND PRE-EVENT PLAN

There will be NO event village nor amenities except toilets on West Holmes Field. Please use local businesses for any requirements. Please advise your friends and family to watch the event from around the course. Covid-regulations still apply to outside gatherings.

Please do NOT go straight to the start line. Please congregate on West Holmes Field so that we can safely organise runners for the start line.

It will be a rolling start line based on 30 runners per group with a 5-second gap between groups. This is a chip-timed event so it will not impact your time.

Toilets will be in West Holmes Field and we have doubled the quantity from 2019. Urinals are available as well so do not queue for a cubicle if you don’t need one.

Our bag drop is no contact – you will place your own bag on the floor with the tag from your runner bib and collect yourself at the end of the event. We will have security manning this area all day.

DURING THE EVENT

The 4 water stations and their volunteers will NOT open bottles for you. Please dispose of all waste in the nominated bins around the course.

There will be a small number of toilets in central Addingham.

POST-EVENT

There will be no goody bag in the finisher zone. Bottled water, bananas and your medal can be collected from tables to minimise contact.

Upon finishing the event, please make your way through the Finisher Zone with minimal delay.
