If you want to find out more about Race Day, you’ve come to the right place.

The Route

We recognise that there are a runners of all shapes, sizes and experience and a great deal of thought and consideration was taken in deciding upon the race route. We’ve tried to keep the route as flat as possible and it is all on road. Our Traffic Management Partners will ensure that you are kept safe throughout the race, closing the route to traffic and keeping the hoards of enthusiastic fans back from their heroes.

Please note that our main stipulation is that you must be able to finish the race within four hours. Please prepare for it to be reasonably hot. Ilkley summers can be a mixed bag! With the race commencing at 10.30am it will probably be quite warm once you’re into the middle of the race. Water stations are strategically placed around the route to support you.

On The Day

The starting gun will fire at 10.30am BST. With 4,000 of you running, it’s vital that you arrive in good time, stay hydrated and feel settled.

You can use public transport to arrive at the event. Alternatively, you can drive to the event and there will be plenty of parking available. Please keep your eye on this website for confirmation of the parking zones and the pricing.

Once you arrive in Ilkley, head to our Event Village at West Holmes Fields where there will be plenty of space to warm up, meet up with your friends and soak up that pre-run buzz.

Although it would be ideal if you brought all your friends and family to cheer you on (and look after your bags and belongings), if you’d rather you can store your bag at our designated bag drop – don’t forget that your bib comes with a tearable strip at the bottom to attach to your bag! Keep hold of your running number after the race, as you’ll need it to collect your belongings from the bag drop.

Further details of our Event Village will be confirmed on this website in the New Year but there will be plenty of entertainment for friends and family. We want the fun to continue after you’ve finished the race too!
